Beau Baker started wrestling in 5th grade, within 2 years he was “all-in” and head over heals with the sport. Beau finished his High School career as a two time Virginia state champ, and the first for Turner Ashby. He won both state titles via technical fall, and to this day he remains arguably the best takedown wrestler in area history. Beau was inducted into the Turner Ashby Athletic Hall of Fame in 2013.

After High School, Beau received a wrestling scholarship to Southern Conference powerhouse, UT Chattanooga. While there he was a part of three SoCon championship teams. A few years after hanging up his wrestling shoes, he transferred his talents to the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. After an undefeated amateur record, Beau became one of Virginia first professional MMA fighters, ending with a 10-5 record spanning 6 years.

Beau returned to SVWC, the club he started in, when his son Gable began wrestling in Kindergarten. He has helped coach and restructure the club in the 6 years since, and took the role of Head Youth coach in 2019.
